Credit is spent at list price: Your plan credit goes against each model's published price. The multiplier is the saving — there is no second discount to keep track of.
Each month starts fresh: Unused credit does not carry into the next month. Your balance resets to your plan's full amount on every renewal.
Upgrading brings your credit with you: Move up mid-month and whatever is left is added on top of the new plan's full amount. You pay the new price that day, with nothing prorated.
